Nine Inch Nails, March of the Pigs (1994).

The March of the Pigs was the first Single from The Downward Spiral, the third Nine Inch Nails studio album. My first exposition to the band was this video. I found it raw and crude. I usually hate when rock musicians treat poorly their instruments, but this video was a great business card.

Later I bought a remix of the Downward Spiral, my first NIN CD and enjoyed it dearily. Piggy was my first option, but March of the Pigs is a song you never forget.

NIN is in fact a one man band. Trent Reznor plays and produces almost everything, sometimes with help but mostly alone. And his innovative mind is always the creative force that turns music from rythm patterns and special moods, harmonies and meters. And sound construction, let's not forget that.
