Night of the Living Dead (1968).

[via enciclopedia del horror]

Ok, in this new series of post related to Movie-Sundays, one of my favourite movies should appear as soon as possible. And Night of the Living Dead is one of the films I watched dozens of times.

In fact, I think this is the movie I’ve watched more times. You know the story (if you don’t, bellow are two options to see the full film), a Venus space probe has brought a mortal disease that plagues the living dead. The Zombies Apocalypse is unleashed!

George A. Romero spend on this movie a little fee. Only $112.000 and it made him earn over $42 million. Not bad for a low budget film.

Two sequels followed this movie and were great as well. The last one is another of my favourites: Day of the Dead. It was so terrifying. Of course, the second chapter, Dawn of the Dead was as cool as the other movies. Two more movies were released and new ones from John Russo.

The fine B&W footage and the amazing work of Duane Jones (Ben in the movie). His character is remarkable. One of the best roles in the history of films.

Well, enough reading. Go, pick your favourite snack (if you are a Zombie, you know what are your tastes) and enjoy this movie!

Las secuelas ya no tanto, pero la primera de todas, daba su canguelo la puñetera cinta...

No sé, Fermín. A mí me gustaron hasta la tercera bastante. Estaban planteadas desde el principio como una serie de películas, al estilo de 28 días después.

Pero la primera es la mejor, sin duda. Y la más original, sin basarse en el rollo Gore.
