Tool, Schism.

Tool has understand like no other band the intermix relation between music, visual art and the shape of things. With Lateralus and later 10.000 Days they reached the peak of Math Rock Heaven, but this time, they do it for a reason.

The way they intruduced number seven as a logic subdivision into a rock pattern is original and organic. No other band played this odd meters so integrated with the feeling of Hard Rock.

The eastern feeling is another new influence they had the pleasure of making easy to understand to their fans. The incredibly cerebral and logic ground of their music has transcended into a more aesthetic enjoyment that many of us greeted as an innovative contribution to rock.
