[via wikipedia]The second Police’s album (1979) could be not his most popular LPs, but it opens with Message in the Bottle. And it is Sting’s (and even Andy Summers'!) favourite song of Police. And so it is to me.
This picture of hundred billion bottles arriving to a shore where a castaway is stranded from love and questions the need for love is an amazing one.
I love this little guitar pattern of three note chords in fifths. I think many young guitar players had attended to play it sometime.
But I think loving the music of The Police is an easy one. Imagine perfection, technically and creatively and you are thinking of Police.
Well, that’s enough. Listen this incredible song and, if you are a musician, ask yourself why you didn’t wrote it. I do.
