En los ochenta la opción fue correcta. Vendieron muchos discos y crearon canciones fantásticas.
Kiss wasn't going anyway, with financial problems and public interest low. Hot in the Shade was history (anyone noticed the bland cover?) and after Carr's death, interest in Kiss was not very widespread. Still, the influence of Kiss of the seventies was well established in the world of Rock. They had to reinvent themself and provide a new Kiss to the Kiss of the eighties.
In the eighties, the choice was correct. They sold many albums and wrote fantastic songs. But all ended by an audience that asked classical tunes. When Hair Metal was over and Grunge became rock standard, Kiss were still appreciated. They went into the fashion of black and white rock, unglamorous and this album worked well in terms of sales, but few went to the concerts. By the way, Eric Singer was a great choice. A fantastic drummer.
If you want to listen KISS - Revenge.
