Bosko is a cartoon character created in 1928 by Hugh Harman, long before Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. He could be considered the first cartoon star of the animation division of Warner Bros.
Harman were working for Disney and, after several transitions, he and Ising moved to the new Looney Tunes with Bosko, staring 39 cartoons, rivalling with Mickey Mouse in popularity.
In 1933, Harman and Ising signed with MGM but after two shorts, the character was put aside.
He was nearly forgotten and in the 90s he made same cameos in series such as Tiny Toons and Babs Bunny. Animaniacs has a character that reminds a lot Bosko and there are Bosko cartoons in the Looney Tunes Golden Collection box sets.
Here you can see the first six shorts from Looney Tunes, as could be seen in ergoB’s YouTube channel.

Un auténtico placer. Gracias por hacernos recuperar estas joyas.
Muchas gracias, Evil. Al que debemos agradecer el trabajo es a ErgoB, que ha creado un canal en YouTube con casi toda la animación de la Warner en Blanco y Negro. Un verdadero placer y un lugar de referencia.
