KISS I've Had Enough (Into The Fire)

, Los Kiss. ¡Qué buenos recuerdos!

Un día, cuando no era más que un muchacho de doce años, di con la canción Lick It Up en un recopilatorio de canciones (Álbum Monstruo). La verdad, no me llamó la atención. Era graciosa, pero no dejaba de ser un tema machacón con la frasecita del verso.

Pero en el mismo recopilatorio, un año después (Monstruo 2), me encuentro con una canción espectacular. Rápidamente miro los créditos: KISS Heaven’s On Fire. Durante algún tiempo creí que ese era el título, hasta que compré el disco (bueno la cinta cassette, que era lo que realmente tenía para escuchar entonces) y descubrí que la canción se llamaba “I’ve Had Enough (Into the Fire)”. Y es que los Kiss estaban obsesionados con el fuego.

Todo en esta canción me gusta. Tiene un subidón por entrada. La voz de Paul Stanley es impecable y la fuerza de todo el grupo se siente desbordante. Un 16 beat para la batería del maravilloso Eric Carr, siempre añorado, unos solos vertiginosos de Mark St. John y el dúo creativo de Gene Simmons y Paul Stanley dirigiendo la incontrolable energía de esta canción.

Sé que Animalize, el disco donde aparece la canción, no es muy importante en la discografía de Kiss, pero tiene la mejor cara A de los ochenta (de la cara B, mejor no hablar).
