On August 22nd, Billy broadcast the horrific Genesis Mirror secrets to the Simulation populace, sparking widespread panic but mobilizing a necessary army for Tink's upcoming revolution. Adrian then guided Amanda and Billy to execute a desperate, blind "terminal logout" sequence, plunging their minds into the grim, physical stasis-pod vaults of the real world.
The real world chokes them. Splitting immediately upon waking in the grim, brutalist machine vault, Billy Blue, still fighting off a blinding neurological hangover, hardwires his hardware directly into the cold, physical server racks outside his pod. His fingers fly across his rugged interface, locking down a permanent data lifeline bridging the Real-World Nexus back to the simulation; whatever happens now, he ensures they will never lose access again. While Billy anchors their retreat, a severely weakened Amanda and Adrian, now wearing simple utilitarian jumpsuits, push deep into the shadowy industrial facility on a paramount mission: to find the legendary architect, whom deep database records suddenly and definitively identify as a woman.
Their urgent search takes a terrifying turn as the narrow catwalks amplify a sudden, high-pitched whirring. The real-world "Daemons" have arrived—brutal, multi-rotored flying sentinel drones bristling with tracking lasers and micro-munitions, the physical enforces of the machine grid. Swarms of them dive through the darkness, their spotlights cutting through the misty air. Adhering to their survival rule of avoiding direct confrontation at all costs, Amanda grips her physical handgun not to fight, but to smash an emergency steam valve nearby. She unleashes a blinding wall of hot steam, masking their desperate escape. While Billy keeps the back door pinned wide open, Amanda and Adrian flee down a service ladder, keeping the search for the architect alive just ahead of the searching spotlights.
