Friday the 13th has the story written by Victor Miller that has become an standard in horror movies. It has all the clichés plus an amazing ending (and I don't mean the last minutes but the combat between Alice and Mrs.Voorhees). It was a blockbuster that spawned a dozen of sequels (literally) and one of the most recognized "monsters" of Hollywood industry.
The story of a cursed lake (yes Chrystal Lake) were a complete cast of characters die one by one, one supposes by the hand of Jason, until the last survivor, Alice, discovers that is her mother, Pamela, the killer and the movie turns into something else. I found that many people considered that part a crazy deviation from the original point (OK, being the mother the killer was shocking enough, like Norman Bates transvestiting into her mother) but the battle got out of hand.

And that's what I really enjoy about this movie. Poor victim Alice turns into a killing machine, making schemes to kill the psycho Pamela Voorhees. And she success at that, unleashing the real monster that attacks her in one of the most remembered final scare. I must say that the first time I show the movie I was specting to see Jason all the time, not only the last minute. But this is one of my favourite movies and it is because the crazy battle of might. It could be fun, even hilarious, but I love to the bone.
