[via Historia del Heavy Metal]
Alice Cooper - or Vincent Damon Furnier, his real name - was the leader of the band when they released their first #1 LP, Billion Dollar Babies. It was the logical next step after the hits of I'm 18 and School's Out.
Well, Alice Cooper and specially this LP is one of my favourite perfomer. He knows how to make interesting shows and help define the Heavy Metal sound. So he is in a way, one of the fathers of Metal. And for that we must respect him.

And this LP is so brilliant, so talented (Bob Ezrin was the producer here, so nothing could went wrong) that the band reaches their first #1. I listened to it so many times that I know it by heart. In fact it help me understand the differences between LPs and CDs. And the remaster is so far away from 1973 original release that it could be considered a different product.
In this post I offer you several songs from the LP that was recorded back at the 70s. Enjoy.
Alice Cooper Billion Dollar Babies
[via domingomuino]
Billion dollar baby
Rubber little lady, slicker than a weasel
Grimy as an alley, loves me like no other lover
Billion dollar baby
Rubber little monster, baby I adore you
Man or woman living couldn't love you like me baby
We go dancing nightly in the attic
While the moon is rising in the sky
If I'm too rough tell me
I'm so scared your little head
Will come off in my hands
Billion dollar baby
I got you in a dimestore
No other little girl could ever
Hold you any tighter, any tighter than me baby
Billion dollar baby
Reckless like a gambler, million dollar maybe
Fighting like a dog whose been infected by the rabies
We go dancing nightly in the attic
While the moon is rising in the sky
If I'm too rough tell me
I'm so scared your little head
Will come off in my hands
Million dollar babies
Billion dollar babies
Trillion dollar babies
Zillion dollar babies

Alice Cooper - Hello horray 1973
Alice Cooper - Hello Horray 1973
Hello! Hooray! Let the show begin,
I've been ready.
Hello! Hooray! Let the lights grow dim,
I've been ready.
Ready as this audience that's coming here to dream.
Loving every second, ev'ry moment, ev'ry scream,
I've been waiting so long to sing my song
And I've been waiting so long for this thing to come.
Yeah - I've been thinking so long I was the only one.
Roll out! Roll out with your American dream and its recruits,
I've been ready.
Roll out! Roll out with your circus freaks and hula hoops,
I've been ready.
Ready as this audience that's coming here to dream.
Loving every second, ev'ry moment, ev'ry scream,
I've been waiting so long to sing my song
And I've been waiting so long for this thing to come.
Yeah - I've been thinking so long I was the only one.
I can stand here strong and thin.
I can laugh when this thing begins.
God, I feel so strong.
I feel so strong.
I'm so strong.
I feel so strong.
So strong.
God, I feel so strong,
I am so strong.

CAUTION: here is the video of I Love the Dead. It is very Strong, but it is a classic number in Alice Cooper Shows since Billion Dollar Babies. I alert you. Go for it if you want to see it, but I don't include it here:

Los temas de Alice Cooper son un auténtico manifiesto en favor del humor. Lúcido, irónico, corrosivo, socarrón y en ocasiones genial.
Y hay una referencia a su música y al grupo en una canción de Zappa, ¿qué más queremos? Does humor belongs in music? Of course!!
