One of my favourite movies is this odd autralian movie from 1984. A razorback is a wild swine or boar that in this movie turns into a nightmare creature that kills and eats humans as its sole prey.
A little early than directing Highlander, Russel Mulcahy adapted Peter Brennan’s novel of the same title. The Razorback is a hybrid of both Jaws and Cujo. A real badass!

But a horror movie is not a great movie if it only has a cool monster. You need interesting humans to maintain the interest. Here is a strange cast of different people who have different reasons for killing the beast. First a grandfather whose grandson was killed by the beast and was accused of his murder. Then a couple of hunters that want to kill this impressive prey. And last but no least a husband whose wife has being exposed to Razorback as a way of killing her.
This characters behave in a very interesting way that makes the movie something to look for. Do yourself a favour and find a copy of this movie. You’ll never regret it.
