W.A.S.P., L.O.V.E. Machine.

[via Wikipedia]
When you watch a video like L.O.V.E. Machine, being a teenager eager of sex experiences and you enjoy this W.A.S.P. show. You know that Tonnerre the Brest has a lot to do with my nostalgic review of the past, but this post is not that innocence. I remember the impact this sexually charged images had in me, specially the amazing “bottom” that could be shown at 2:08. Wow!

I know this video is sexist and that it really lacks good taste but, what can I say? I love the song and I love the “bottom”. Sorry, I was a male teenager and watching the video again, after so many years was as great as ever. So, please, be kind to me.

Well, let’s go to the music. The front-man of the band is Blackie Lawless a natural Heavy Metal Singer. I think his roaring voice is one of a kind. Amazing to the limits and powerful as nothing more. And he was the bass player. When he changed his instrument for a guitar, it was to me like treason (and the record where he played guitar, Electric Circus, a boring one). W.A.S.P. needed a rest.

The song was so 80s that it couldn’t go wrong. The singer and the bass (plus drums, of course) start the lyrics and then the guitar add the most wanted power chords. I love this simple effect. It makes me ROCK!!!

Well, enough writing. Enjoy the embed if you dare!!

W.A.S.P. - L.O.V.E. Machine

[via crackpippi]

"Lady, have you known me,
The perfect L.O.V.E. Machine?
There goes (Virgo's?) my Leo's rising,
Venus make me King!
That chain of broken hearts,
They all belong to me!
Magic runs through my fingers,
One touch you'll see!

[Chorus:]
L.O. - V.E.
All I need's my L.O.V.E. Machine, oh
L.O. - V.E.
All I need's my L.O.V.E. Machine, oh
L.O.- V.E.
All I need's my L.O.V.E. Machine, oh
L.O.- V.E.
All I need's my L.O.V.E. Machine...Tonight!
L.O. - V.E.
All I need's my L.O.V.E Machine, oh
L.O. - V.E.
All I need's my L.O.V.E. Machine, oh
L.O. - V.E.
All I need's my L.O.V.E. Machine, oh
L.O. - V.E.
All I need's my L.O.V.E. Machine...tonight! Tonight!

What can I do for you?
Am I your wildest dream?
What do I move in you?, and
How would I seem?
My eyes - they lie –
And you cry,
"Love brings you pain!"
And if you try to love me,
You'll not be the same!

[Chorus]

[Guitar Solo]

[Chorus]

Esta estética siempre la encontré muy sexy, ya escucharé el vídeo a la tarde.

I think that sexist way was very common in the eighties and more inocent than we see it today (remember the infamous shorts wore by George Michael in wake Me Up Before You Go-GO? Most ZZ Top videos, and that Power guy were the same.
Still, I do not see it as some insulting affair.

No se si es sexy, Juan, lo que sí me parece es que los heavies de los ochenta se repetían. La música me gusta, pero los videos son todos iguales.
Candela, I think they were more innocent than they are now, but I think they are a little bit... Macho-thing. It was like "if you like the girls, perhaps you like the music, because if you listen to my music, you get to know many girls (false) so ... ¡Buy my album!"
