Dune PC Game (1992).

Back at the time this computer game were released, there was computers with a:\ section and Floppy Disk hatchs. Dune the game was related to the David Lynch movie instead to the novel. Therefore there are differences between the story and the game.


Here you start playing and Adventure Game to get involved in one of the first Real Time Strategy Game. But the first thing I remember about this game is Cryo, the french company that released it. In Spanish, "Crio" is a boy, sometimes related to an inmature and foolish child. So this game company has a funny name to us. But that's not important. You knew that a Cryo game should be a good game, and it always did.


The characters look richer back then. Just notice that we had those slow machines and having a great graphic hardware was expensive. And the game was interesting, coming from and adventure to and fro into the place were you recollected the Spice. Always in an Orni, that simulated the long travels as song sequences. Sometimes it was too much.

Here you can see the intro of the game. I didn't remember it was that long. The music is great (by Picq and Ulrich) and was released as a CD.
