You narrowly evaded a spindly, faceless entity by pressing into the shifting walls of the labyrinth. The experience left you shaken, but alive, as you moved deeper into the dark.
Session 4: Echoes of the Self
October the Fourth | The Vents of Whispers
Driven by a frantic need to survive, I lunge from my hiding spot to secure the glinting object—a rusted metal compass—only to trigger a violent, mechanical groan from the house as the corridor begins to collapse around me. I scramble over the shifting floorboards, my boots scraping against the bioluminescent residue left by the Wanderer, which burns with a sickly, ethereal light that reveals not just the path forward, but a jagged vent vibrating with a sound that stops my breath: it is my own voice, whispering my name from the darkness.
Amidst the chaos of falling debris, I fight to maintain my balance as the floor tilts toward the abyss. The ceiling buckles, showering me in dust and splinters, and with a final, desperate leap, I dive into the narrow vent just as the hall behind me seals shut with the finality of a tomb. I am left alone in the cramped, metallic crawlspace, my own disembodied whispers echoing against the steel, taunting me with questions I am not yet ready to answer.
