Well, today it is Halloween, my favourite date of the whole year. And Nightmare Before Christmas (NBX from now on) is, of course one of my favourite movies ever.

So, being Saturday, why not writing about this movie in Animation’s Saturday?

It would remind you of the genius of Tim Burton, but Did you know it was directed by Henry Selick?

Selick is an old time collaborator of Disney’s Studios, being one of the animators that participate in the creation of The Fox and the Hound, a film from 1981. His Coraline has being a great success from this year and a real blockbuster. Good for us, animation lovers.

NBX is so cool that it is not a surprise that after sixteen years it remains fresh and never outdated. Jack is one of everyone favourite characters and Halloween owes much of his recent popularity thanks to him.

But let’s not forget that this movie is a musical and Danny Elfman is the man behind this amazing score. And he is the voice of Jack. Wow!
