You sacrificed your entire existence to seal the cosmic hunger, erasing your own name and soul to become the final, absolute brick in the Labyrinth's walls.
Epilogue: The Eternal Sentry
October the Fifteenth | Forever Watching
Centuries have passed since my final erasure, yet the silence of the walls is not the absolute oblivion I bargained for. Instead, I am a persistent, rhythmic thrum—the heartbeat of the Labyrinth itself—forced to witness the cosmic hunger pressing endlessly against the boundary I died to create. I observe the descendants of the survivor I saved as they unknowingly pass through these halls; their lives flicker and fade like sparks in a gale, fleeting and beautiful, while the eldritch entity occasionally brushes against the seal. Its psychic coldness sends tremors through my hollowed-out soul, and it whispers the name I discarded so long ago, a taunt from the void that never rests.
My desperation has long since transmuted into a cold, eternal vigilance. I realize now that my sacrifice did not end the threat, but merely anchored me here as a permanent, agonizing sentry. I am the only thing standing between humanity and the encroaching dark, forever waiting in this state of breathless suspense for the day the seal finally cracks and the hunger inevitably demands its meal.
