This animated short was made by the BBC to promote their broadcast of the 2008 Olympics. It is based on the Monkey King story, like Dragon Ball did.
The music and art are produced by Gorillaz fame artist Jammie Hewlett and Damon Albarn.

La Animación lo que se la dice animación, no me acaba de convencer.... A mí me gusta el Hewlett del cómic (aunque eso ya lo dejó) por sus dibujos y diseños. Veía cosas de Elder, los Hernandez y otros, pero me gustaba. Tenía algo que me gustaba. Pero su narrativa dejaba bastante que desear... Y las historias. Puuufff. Me parece que de sus Tank Girl el único que todavía podría volver a leer (y no sólo mirar los dibujos) es el de Milligan.

A mí Tank Girl me resultó antipático como cómic desde el principio y no le vi la gracia. Pero a Gorillaz sí.
Es cierto que dejó los cómics hace mucho. Normal si el negocio le va bien y en otro camino, porque hacer cómics es sacrificado.
